Scholarship Connection
The Little Rock Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and the Delta Presents Outreach Foundation, Incorporated celebrated 45 years of honoring Black high school males. Our theme for the event was “Celebrating The Past: Stepping Into The Future” and it took place on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Performing Arts Theatre.
The 2018 Delta Presents youth development activities leading to the culminating scholarship recognition program are making history. The goal since the inception of our signature program, Delta Presents remains to encourage the positive aspect of youth development in our community. As we reflect on our 45 years of community service, we are excited about the number of lives we have touched through scholarships, mentoring, and personal development. We nurture and encourage our honorees to become positive role models, entrepreneurs, leaders in the community, and productive citizens in their city, state, and nation.

Delta Presents is a process, not an event. With this premise, the CLEP, Career Development, Leadership Development, Educational Development, and Personal/Social Development program was created as the developmental component of Delta Presents. The objectives of CLEP are to:
-
Develop Positive Self Concept
-
Develop Academic, Social, Leadership and Work Skills
The program objectives of CLEP will result in an increase high school graduation rate among the target group. We aim to encourage college attendance and expand job opportunities for the participants. We are committed to making a positive difference with our CLEP four-year program.
The 2018 Delta Presents event rolled out the red carpet for 38 outstanding young men who graduated from local high schools and awarded $38,000 in scholarship money.
